TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All clients are required to sign a contract at drop off of your first visit. This will cover all future visits unless you state anything has changed. If your dog is matted then a separate consent form will need to be signed before further action is taken every time the dog is found to be matted.
Your pets health and welfare are our main concern. We will work with you and your pet to make the grooming process as enjoyable as possible. Some dogs may be fearful of certain parts of the process and we will adjust accordingly. Although extremely unlikely accidents can happen. In the case of an accident or serious medical issue arising during your dogs visit, the groom will be stopped, we will contact you and seek veterinary assistance at your approval.
All prices given are starting prices. We will not give a definite price before completion. Pricing varies between each dog and depends on size, coat condition and behaviour/temperament.
We will sometimes take before, during and after photos of your dogs groom. This is to add to our portfolio and advertise our work. If you do not want your dog to be photographed then please let us know when you drop your dog off.
Please be on time. We work by appointment only and do not double book ourselves so missed appointments mean loss of income. We offer free reminders if you require them. We will either give a time to collect your dog or arrange to call when your dog is finished. Please don't call in early to see if your dog is ready as it will disrupt your dog and others we are working on. If you require to change the collection time then please ring us. Once a dog is finished they're eager to go home and can become unsettled. Late collections will be charged £5 every 15 minutes.
Please let us know if you are running late, we understand things can happen that mean you will be a few minutes late. However, if you are more than 20 minutes late we will class it as a missed appointment and you will have to re-book and pay 50% of the groom before you book another appointment.
We require 24 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment. Less notice or failing to show up will incur a charge of 50% of the groom cost before you book another appointment. Late cancellations or no showing more than two times will incur a full deposit to be paid to book a slot. Again we remind you that missed appointments mean loss of income for us.
If your dogs coat is found to be matted then the only option we will have is to clip it off and start again. This is in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006: Clause 5: To protect from pain, injury and suffering. We will spend a maximum of 15 minutes de-matting a coat which is plenty of time to remove tangles, knots and small local areas of matting. However, if the matting is severe then we will suggest the humane option of clipping the coat off. You will have to agree to the procedure and give full written consent before we begin the matt removal.
Please let us know if your dog comes into season before arriving at the salon. We are not a one-to-one salon and we sometimes have entire males in the salon. Having a bitch in heat can disrupt the other dogs, posing a health and safety risk. If entire males are in that day we may ask you to re-book your appointment with no charge. If we accept your dog and find they are in season we reserve the right to terminate the groom if it poses a risk of disrupting other clients.
We reserve the right to refuse any dog that poses a risk to us and itself. Please be honest when booking your dog in if you know they have shown aggression previously. Failure to disclose this information may result in us refusing further services. If we accept the dog and during the grooming process it displays aggressive behaviour we have the right to terminate the groom and you will be contacted to collect it, 50% of the groom cost will be charged. Please note the Dangerous Dogs Act, owners are held liable for bites and injuries caused by their dog.
